SHINING A LIGHT ON A SHADOWED POPULATION

What comes to mind when you picture third world conditions? Low wages, minimal housing? No electricity? Low life expectancy? Unemployment? If this is what you pictured, you are correct. But, what you didn’t picture is where all of this takes place. It’s sad to say that it happens right here in the United Sates; Pine Ridge, South Dakota to be exact. The Sioux Tribe of Pine Ridge Reservation is living in third world conditions. It is time to not only shine light on a very serious matter but to take a stand for the people, for the children, and for the community.

Are you curious about what you can do to help? Well, you’ve come to the right place. True Sioux Hope Foundation was founded by Twila True to help the Sioux Tribe of South Dakota. True has identified three key pillars to make sure that the reservation sees an impactful change: sustainability, education and immediate assistance. The foundation’s long-term goal is to foster sustainability on the reservation by building homes and providing education and workforce training. Here’s what you can do to help, donate.
