KENDRA SCOTT HOSTED IN-STORE GIVEBACK EVENT TO BENEFIT TRUE SIOUX HOPE FOUNDATION

This past Friday, Kendra Scott invited the local Southern California community to “Shop For A Cause.” The highly anticipated shopping event was designed to bring together local community members in support of True Sioux Hope Foundation’s mission to provide life-saving resources to an entire Native American population living in conditions equivalent to those found in the poorest Third World countries.

Kendra Scott, a fashion jewelry boutique, offers an array of trendy women’s jewelry and accessories. Attendees were encouraged to enjoy a night of guilt-free shopping accompanied with sweet treats and sparkling wine.

20 percent of all purchases made that evening were donated to True Sioux Hope Foundation to further support positive change for the Sioux Tribe in South Dakota. Sharing a passion to give back to the foundation’s designated pillars, notable attendees included: True Sioux Hope Foundation founder, Twila True, and newly appointed board member, Donna Pickup. At the event, Pickup was recognized for contributing the largest monetary donation the foundation has received to-date.

was on display at the event to show how one small donation can allow the foundation to provide life-saving supplies in real-time to poverty-stricken families across the reservation and can be the difference in helping a family get back on its feet.

True Sioux Hope Foundation would like to take this time to thank everyone who joined us at this special fundraising event. True Sioux Hope Foundation wants to give the people of Pine Ridge hope, however, none of this can be achieved without the valued support of our followers. If you were unable to join us for this shop for a cause giveback event, be sure to check out other ways that you can help give back by liking us on Facebook and following us on Twitter.
