During this time of year we have a day for giving thanks, two days for scoring deals, and now Giving Tuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. Often written as #GivingTuesday, this movement was established to create a national day of giving at the beginning of the holiday season. Today, December 1, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. On this #GivingTuesday, join us as we continue to give and show generosity to the Lakota Sioux Tribe of Pine Ridge. Here’s how you can support:
- Take a stance to improve the health of the Sioux Tribe by donating a box of life-saving resources to a family on Pine Ridge through Thrive Gives. A $50 donation box will provide relief to those battling life-threatening obstacles from diabetes, to malnutrition, to sanitation. Once you’ve made your donation, post to social media with #GivingTuesday and tag @TrueSiouxHope to help raise awareness toward our cause.
- Next month, Kendra Scott, a fashion jewelry boutique with over 31 stores across the country, will be hosting an in-store giveback event at its Newport Beach, CA location, where 20 percent of all purchases made benefit True Sioux Hope Foundation. Today, commit to RSVPing for this exciting giveback event on social media, and hashtag #GivingTuesday.
- Recently, True Sioux Hope Foundation received a substantial donation from Nature’s One, a brand known as the leader in medical nutrition. Nature’s One donated 14,000 tubes of PediaVance® Electrolyte to the people of Pine Ridge Reservation. If you happen to have a product or company in mind that can help support one of True Sioux Hope Foundation’s three pillars, we gladly welcome your input. Feel free to contact us at [email protected].
True Sioux Hope Foundation wants to give the people of Pine Ridge hope, however, none of this can be achieved without the valued support of our followers. If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for our newsletter, and follow our cause on Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on all of our latest initiatives.
