Twila True - President & Founder

Twila True is the Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and President of True Investments, LLC, which she co-founded with her husband, Alan True. Twila is responsible for the firm's overall strategy, finances, operations, and culture, with a focus on growing assets under management and scaling processes. DONNA PICKUP - BOARD MEMBER

Known as a dedicated philanthropist in Orange County, Donna Pickup learned of True Sioux Hope Foundation through a friend and knew her purpose was to connect with Twila to make a positive impact for the Lakota Sioux of Pine Ridge. Growing up in Rapid City, a few hours north of Pine Ridge Reservation, she didn’t understand the harsh reality of the poverty the Lakota Sioux were facing until she left South Dakota.

It is Pickup’s passion to help the Sioux of Pine Ridge by focusing her support toward True Sioux Hope Foundation’s education pillar. To Pickup, education is where it all begins and gives the Lakota Sioux hope that there is another way of life.

Katie Collins - Secretary

With a history in serving the nonprofit industry, Katie Collins is currently the Director of Development at the J. Craig Venter Institute, a world leader in genomic research. Prior to her work at JCVI, Katie served as the donor relations officer at The Scripps Institute.

Katie earned a B.S. in Health Policy and Administration from The Pennsylvania State University.

Doug Urbanski - Treasurer

Leveraging his nine years of experience in finance, accounting, valuation and risk management, Doug Urbanski serves as the Senior Vice President of Accounting and Business Strategy at True Family Enterprises. Prior to joining True Family Enterprises, Doug was Vice President of Finance at Picoco, LLC.

Doug earned three undergraduate B.S. degrees in Accountancy, Finance and Business Administration (Management & Information Systems) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Doug is a Certified Public Accountant, a Chartered Financial Analyst, and a Financial Risk Manager.
